By The City of Ottawa is conducting an Environmental Assessment (EA) and Functional Design to identify and develop a preferred solution that will provide additional storage facilities in the combined sewer area and thereby reduce combined sewer overflows (CSOs) to the Ottawa River. This project has been identified as a preferred alternative under the Ottawa River Action Plan to become fully compliant with provincial Procedure F‐5‐5.
The Process: This project is being planned as a Schedule C project in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, 2007, which is an approved process under the Environmental Assessment Act.
A third and final Public Open House has been arranged to present the design alternatives for the recommended preferred solution, as well as provide the public with an opportunity to discuss the study with the study team and provide input and comments.
