The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation is hosting hosting the Alterna Ultimate Run for Men’s Cancers, on June 17th. This fun filled event supports research, prevention and equipment for all men’s cancers in our Ottawa community! You can register as an individual or as a team and there is a 5 or 10K run as well as a 2 or 5K walk. We wanted to let you know about this amazing event and pass the word around to your Ottawa’s Central Park Community members that might be interested in participating.

The Alterna Ultimate Run for Men’s Cancers event has raised over $2.5 Million for research, prevention and equipment for all men’s cancers.

In 2012, the Cancer Foundation will continue to lead the way by working to bring innovative treatments and therapies to our region. Funds raised in the Alterna Ultimate Run will fund the following projects:

• Oncolytic Virus Research
• Robotic Surgery Technology
• Programming at the Maplesoft Centre

Registration opens: 6:30 a.m. at Carleton University’s Anniversary Park
