Easter Egg Hunt and Earth Day Clean Up
April 15, 2012 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am
With the arrival of Spring, we have again enrolled the Central Park Community in the City’s Spring Cleanup campaign. We will also have our 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt for the kids.
The Central Park Clean up will occur on Sunday, 15 April starting at 9:30 am.
Volunteers will be handing out garbage-collecting gear until 10:15 at four locations in the community:
- Alphabet Park (Scout and Staten)
- Grammercy Park (Whitestone and Grammercy)
- Madison Park (Whitestone at the NCC pathway)
- Corner of Celebration St and Festive Private
- Mailbox at Manhattan Crescent near the parking Garage (still need a helper for this site)
- Northwest corner of Greenwich Circle (still need a helper for this site)
The object is to make your way to Celebration Park, collecting garbage as you go. Come to the shelter to deposit your collection.
As we did last year, there will also be plastic eggs hidden throughout the community. These eggs will contain a prize number that you can use to select a prize. There is a limit of one prize per garbage bag deposited – the more full bags and eggs the more prizes. This year we have some ski passes for next winter and gift cards for local businesses.
We hope to see many of you helping to clean up the neighbourhood.
