The Gardening Club will be holding its first Community Gardening Group (CGG) meeting for 2012 on Tuesday June 19th in the Red Toom at 120 Central Park Drive, starting at 7:00 p.m.

Last year, with the support of the City, Ashcroft Homes, the Ottawa Horticultural Society, and a volunteer landscape designer, a group of about 12 of us planted our first prototype mailbox garden, at the corner of Celebration St. & Festive Pvt.

The garden had received rave review from all who have seen it. Please drive by and have a look. As it matures, it will become even more beautiful.

This Spring, our goal is to create three more gardens, and we’d like your support. Our long term goal is to plant a garden around every group of mailboxes in the community.
